Police issue a Dispersal Order around an old golf course in Flixton

Trafford police have today 4 June 2021 issued a section 35 dispersal order under the Anti SOcial Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 that covers the area around the old William Wroe Golf Course in Flixton.

Police have said the dispersal order was put in place to tackle a number of robberies that have been reported where a group of youths have attacked people and stolen bikes and to help those that want to use the green space keep safe.

The order will last 48 hours from 6pm this evening, Friday 4th June 2021 until 6pm, Sunday 6th June 2021.This order allows a police officer to direct a person to leave the area on and around the land and not to return and applies to anyone over the age of 10.Failure to comply could result in your arrest.

People will see a heightened Police presence in this area for the foreseeable.
