Man with airgun and a knife arrested in Old Trafford

Police responded to a call from the public about a man who was seen walking around with an airgun in Old Trafford.

The incident happened at Princess Court, the police firearms unit also attended and the man was arrested at the scene.

It was later found the man also had a knife with him and was arrested.

A police spokesperson on Twitter said: “Great arrest and the streets are safer with this lad locked up,”
