Gas works to cause chaos at a Park in Sale

Planned gas works are due to take place in and around Walton Park, Sale on Monday 13 July and will last until 24 July.

Gas firm Cadent will carry out the work which will see parts of an unadopted road from Raglan Road entrance to the car park at the back of the sports centre,  it is believed the Bridgewater Canal Tow Path at Walton Park will be affected at some point.

We are not fully sure what the plans are for pedestrians and people wanting to use the sports centre at this time however expect some disruption in that area.

Local people will still be able to access the park with some areas restricted and potential diversions will be in place once work commences on the Bridgewater Canal Tow Path
